The short version: if you're within your first 7 days, you can get a full refund of your $29 trial. After the trial, you can cancel any time to stop future weekly charges. Refunds for unused time after the trial are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Full Refund Within 7 Days
Cancel during your trial and we'll refund the $29 in full. No questions, no hassle.
Cancel Anytime After
Cancelling stops future weekly charges. Access continues until the end of your paid week.
Our Promise
We know our notes aren't for everyone. That's why we've built our pricing around making it easy to try us with very little risk: $29 for your first 7 days, with a full refund if it's not for you.
Beyond that initial trial, things work the way subscriptions normally do: you're billed weekly, you can cancel any time to stop future charges, and we handle out-of-the-ordinary situations on a case-by-case basis. If something goes wrong, talk to us. We'd rather have a happy ex-customer than a frustrated one.
The 7-Day Trial Refund
Your subscription starts with a 7-day trial at $29. During those first 7 days, if you decide MedSchoolZone isn't right for you, you can request a full refund of the $29 trial fee. We won't ask you to justify it, write a paragraph, or jump through hoops.
- The 7 days run from the moment your $29 trial payment is processed.
- Refund requests must be submitted before the trial ends. Once your subscription converts to the standard $97/week rate, the trial refund window has closed.
- Cancel and request a refund through your account or by contacting our support team.
- One trial refund per person. We may decline if we have reason to believe someone is using multiple accounts to claim repeat trial refunds.
After The Trial
Once your trial converts to the $97/week subscription, billing happens automatically every 7 days. You'll receive an email receipt each time you're billed.
You can cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us. When you cancel:
- You won't be charged again on your next billing date.
- Your access continues through the end of your current paid week.
- You will not automatically receive a refund for the unused portion of the current week.
Cancel Vs Refund: They're Different
This trips people up, so it's worth being clear:
- Cancellation stops future charges. It does not return money you've already paid.
- Refund returns money that's already been charged.
If you want to stop future weekly charges and get money back, you need to do both: cancel your subscription and request a refund. We can do both in the same support message. Just tell us what you want.
How To Request A Refund
The fastest way is through our contact page. To help us process it quickly, please include:
- The email address you used when signing up.
- The approximate date of the charge.
- A short note about what you'd like: full refund, partial refund, or just cancellation.
You don't need to explain why, but if there's a specific issue (a download didn't work, a topic you needed wasn't covered, you were unhappy with the quality), telling us helps us improve and may help us suggest a better outcome.
Processing Time
Here's what to expect once you send us a refund request:
- Initial response: within 24 hours, 7 days a week.
- Approval & processing on our end: 1-3 business days from approval.
- Bank or card issuer: typically another 3-5 business days for the funds to appear on your statement.
That's roughly 4 to 8 business days from your request to money in your account. If you're past that and still don't see it, get in touch and we'll dig into it.
Special Situations
Duplicate charges
If you've been billed twice for the same period, contact us right away. We'll always refund duplicate charges in full. No judgment call needed.
Charged after cancellation
If you've cancelled and we still billed you afterwards, that's our mistake. We'll refund it promptly and apologise.
Service problems
If something on our end isn't working (broken downloads, missing files, account access issues), please let us know before requesting a refund. Most of these are quick to fix and we'd rather get you using the notes than process a refund. If we can't sort it out, a refund is on the table.
Unauthorised charges or fraud
If you don't recognise a charge from MedSchoolZone, contact us first if you can. We'll quickly verify whether the charge came from you and refund it if it didn't. If you suspect your card has been compromised more broadly, contact your card issuer too.
Failed payments & account suspension
If a recurring payment fails, we may pause your access while we retry. No refund is due in this situation since you weren't charged. If you'd like to cancel rather than have us retry, let us know.
Your Consumer Rights
This refund policy describes what we offer voluntarily. Nothing in it limits any rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your own country.
EU and UK consumers
If you're in the EU or UK, you may normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content. By starting your trial and accessing the notes immediately, you expressly request that the digital content be supplied during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that, once it has been supplied, you lose the statutory right of withdrawal. You can still cancel your subscription at any time as described above, and our voluntary 7-day trial refund still applies in addition to your other consumer rights.
Faulty or misdescribed service
If the service is faulty, doesn't match what we promised, or doesn't work as expected, you may have additional statutory rights to a refund or repair under the law of your home country. Contact us first and we'll work with you to put it right.
